Château Bélair Monange 2016 - 1ST GREAT CRU CLASS B

Château Bélair-Monange, a 23.5 hectare single-section vineyard, is produced on some of the most privileged soils in Saint-Émilion.

First of all, culminating at an altitude of 88 meters, the limestone plateau at Astéries is covered with a thin layer of clay. This historic hearth of the first of Saint-Emilion breathes freshness, minerality, and a unique elegance into the cru.

Then, the terraces of blue clay on a limestone subsoil, enjoying a south-facing orientation, bring intensity, length, and great depth. Finally, the southern slopes, composed of a layer of silty clay deposited on a deep clay soil, produce supple and rich wines that contribute roundness and generosity to the whole.
