Château L’IF 2019
The Domaine saint-émilionnais continues its metamorphosis since its acquisition by Jacques Thienpont in 2009. With the complicity of his nephew Cyrille, Jacques puts all his heart into shaping this 8-hectare vineyard, which adjoins the lands of Château Troplong-Mondot.
The vineyard renewal program continues at the same pace as the uprooting, replanting and massal selection. A meticulous work in the service of a single cause: to reveal the different facets of these complex terroirs. The tailor-made vinifications of the 14 plots of the vineyard accurately interpret the noblest aspects of the terroir. And this is indeed the essence of the Thienpont family.
Very dark purple color with aromas of autumn fruits (quetsches, blackberries); it is fresh and spicy on the attack. On the palate, it is round and elegant with a good tannin structure and a nice texture.
