Château Troplong Mondot 2022 - 1st Great Cru Class B
Premier Grand Cru Classé, Château Troplong-Mondot has been owned by French insurer Scor since July 2017, and is run by Aymeric DE GIRONDE, previously manager of Château Cos d'Estournel.
Château Troplong-Mondot is located in the Saint-Emilion appellation. The vineyard covers 28 hectares. On the plateau, at an altitude of 100 meters, the region's king grape varieties benefit from excellent exposure.
Merlot (90%), Cabernet Franc (5%) and Cabernet Sauvignon (5%) are grown using integrated viticulture methods. The vineyards are tended in the traditional way.
Animal traction is used to plough the clay and limestone terroir. The Château is making the transition to organic farming, notably by limiting the use of inputs.
