Château Rauzan Ségla 2022 - 2rd Cru Class
Château Rauzan-Ségla is a vineyard located in Margaux, Gironde. AOC Margaux, it is ranked second grand cru in the official Bordeaux wine classification of 1855. Like Château Canon, it belongs to the Wertheimer family.
The vineyard covers 66 hectares, with a classic mix of Cabernet Sauvignon (60%), Merlot (35%), Cabernet Franc (1.5%) and Petit Verdot (3.5%).
The average age of the vines is around 35 years.
Since 2010, 4 hectares have been converted to organic farming. Annual production is around 230,000 bottles, including 110,000 bottles of first wine and 120,000 bottles of second wine. The terroir is made up of fine gravel, deep clay and clay-limestone soils.
