Château Beychevelle 2022 - 4th Cru Class
Château Beychevelle is located in the Saint Julien appellation. Its soil is composed of deep Garonne gravel, which is a specificity of the terroir and acts as a climatic regulator and protector.
It covers 250 hectares, but its vines cover only 90. They are about thirty years old, and benefit from a reasoned culture.
Their typical Medoc grape variety is composed of 62% Cabernet Sauvignon, 31% Merlot, 5% Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot.
Château Beychevelle reflects all the elegance and finesse of the great terroirs of Saint-Julien. Graceful, complex and with a great aromatic richness, Château Beychevelle is made from the best parcels of the vineyard and from a rigorous selection.
A second wine, the Amiral de Beychevelle, is made mainly from the young vines and benefits from the same cultivation practices, meticulous sorting and traditional ageing. It has the same elegance and finesse as its elder brother, but is quicker to reveal itself, offering the wine lover all the vivacity of its youth. It can be kept for about fifteen years depending on the vintage.
