Château Le Gay 2022
Château Le Gay 2022 comes from a 12-hectare vineyard, 10.5 ha of which are in production. Planted on exceptional clay-gravel soils, the vines are on average 25 years old, and produce great Pomerol wines.
It is closely linked to that of its prestigious neighbors: Petrus and Lafleur. The Robin sisters, heirs to Lafleur, entrusted the management of Château Le Gay - their other property since 1946 - to Établissements Jean-Pierre Moueix. Following in their footsteps, Catherine Péré-Vergé acquired the estate in 2002. Heiress to Cristalleries d'Arques, she made a name for herself with her avant-garde personality and bold choices, supported by Michel Rolland.
Today, it is her son, Henri Parent, who leads the destiny of Le Gay with the same maternal dedication. In 2006, Catherine Péré-Vergé bought the 1.8 hectares of La Violette, ideally situated on the Pomerol plateau.
The wines are sensual, gourmand and incredibly refined.
