Château Margaux 2019 - 1st Great Cru Class

The Grand Vin of Château Margaux has been recognized, since the 17th century, as one of the greatest wines in the world.

Château Margaux 2019 is one of the excellent vintages and is added to the list of precious wines that we have the chance to mature in this decade: 2015, 2016, 2018 and 2019 at present .

It is the first time in its history that the Premier Grand Cru Classé de Margaux marks a vintage with a unique presentation in homage to Paul Pontallier, who died too soon in March 2016. The 2015 vintage is the last one made under his direction. 

Château Margaux represents 37% of the harvest.

The great wine of Château Margaux 2019 will be the first to take full advantage of the new facilities in the second year winery whose construction was initiated by André Mentzelopoulos at the end of the 1970s. Following numerous interventions over the years, a major refreshment work was required and we are delighted to complete it just as his grandson, Alexis Leven-Mentzelopoulos, joins the Château Margaux team.
