Château Lafite Rothschild 2016 - 1st Cru Class
Lafite is much more than just a great wine. Its charm and unparalleled refinement have conquered the greats of this world and made it go down in history. Cardinal de Richelieu introduced it to the king's court at Versailles. The American President Thomas Jefferson was a fervent lover of it. It is now up to Saskia de Rothschild, the daughter of Baron Eric, to embody the soul of Lafite.
This Pauillac Premier Grand Cru Classé - part of whose terroir is located on Saint-Estèphe - is a wine of unparalleled refinement. Tight, deep and very slender in its youth, it develops with the years a typical, noble bouquet: rare notes of cedar and spices marked by the floral delicacy of violet and the minerality of graphite.
The elegance of its tannins and its caressing, velvety-soft structure promise unforgettable tasting moments... Like so many enchanted parentheses.
