Le Petit Cheval Blanc 2019 Bordeaux White
Available early December 2021…
For more than 10 years, Château Cheval Blanc has taken on the challenge of producing a great white wine from this small 6.6 hectare vineyard, which is nested in the plot of its elder brother.
A true white version of the Cheval Blanc identity, this wine is a blend of some 13 different plots of land, on sandy and clay soils, where the 80% Sauvignon Blanc and 20% Semillon grapes blossom perfectly.
The color is clear, limpid, brilliant, of a beautiful yellow-green. The first nose, shy and delicate, is mainly dominated by notes of flowers, acacia and lime. With aeration, the bouquet becomes more complex and develops numerous aromatic families, citrus fruits, white flesh fruits such as peach, pear or apricot, and mineral notes, with an aromatic intensity that gradually becomes more refined.
The attack in mouth is fresh, frank and straight thanks to a beautiful acidity which guides the tasting. The density, the fatness and the volume are quietly set up on the middle palate. The finish, very long and elegant, is imposed by nice bitters, signature of this vintage of Petit Cheval blanc.
