Château Haut-Brion 2016 - 1st Grand Cru Class
Clarence Dillon acquired Château Haut-Brion in 1935, restoring its former glory and bringing it back into the exclusive circle of the world's most legendary wines. This extraordinary, bold, and courageous vision is now perpetuated by the fourth generation of the family, embodied by its president, Prince Robert of Luxembourg.
The vineyard is located in the commune of Pessac, a few kilometers southwest of Bordeaux. Château Haut-Brion is the only one to have the dual distinction of Premier Grand Cru Classé in 1855 and Cru Classé de Graves. It is planted with nearly three white vines (Semillon, Sauvignon Blanc, and Sauvignon Gris).
Château Haut-Brion also produces a second wine called "Le Clarence de Haut-Brion". It also produces an exceptional white wine, Château Haut-Brion Blanc, with its second called "La Clarté de Haut-Brion.
