Château La Fleur-Pétrus 2016
Château La Fleur-Pétrus is mainly composed of Merlot, which brings suppleness and generosity. The Cabernets Francs, planted on gravel and fine clay, contribute to the whole by their rigour and complexity, while a small percentage of Petit Verdot, planted on fine gravel, brings a spicy touch to the finish. The ensemble combines an elegance characteristic of the cru with a generosity and structure typical of the great wines of Pomerol.
The personality of Château La Fleur-Pétrus lies in the association of the great gravel and clay soils of the Pomerol plateau. The vineyard, located at an altitude of 33 to 38 meters, draws its identity from the nuances of soil and elevation. Plots with a predominance of gravel bring great elegance, while those with a predominance of clay produce velvety, dense and structured wines.
