Les Forts de Latour 2017
Available in May 2023
Second wine of Château Latour.
Les Forts de Latour takes its name from a historic parcel of "l'Enclos". Continuous quality efforts since 1966, when the wine was first labeled with this name, place it at the level of the great classified growths of the Médoc.
Both in the vineyard and in the cellar, Les Forts de Latour is aged with the same care as the Grand Vin. The only notable difference, apart from its origin, is the proportion of new barrels - between 50 and 60% - used for its maturation.
The blend of Forts de Latour may vary from year to year, but there is a higher proportion of Merlot (25 to 30%) than in the Grand Vin.
